A musical curiosity - an orchestral work from 1972 by the German composer Hans Werner Henze.

What a pity Henze didn't expand it into an opera. Can you imagine the voices ... and the staging! Delicious.

Oh Dear! I'm afraid that I've never been an 'aficianado' of the works of the late Herr Henze! However, I'd certainly agree that the work is, indeed, a curiousity!
