I posted last week about a useful classical app for the iPhone or iPad. Today a very handy app which is also on Android... so I shall post the link for that. Archwilio app is an easy way to find out more about the history and archaeology of Wales. Through GPS you can discover the sites around you anywhere in Wales, but it is also a good resource to use before you go. It draws on the historic environment records of the four Welsh archaeolgical trusts. There was a good write-up in the Telegraph and the Mirror in early November. Press release here. Some users online have complained about bugs, but I confess not to having seen any yet. And best of all, it is free.
