I thought that some background on Diadumenian might be useful, especially for those without access to Jstor - not that there is a great deal there. For numismatists, a useful source is this Excel spreadsheet of Diadumanian provincial issues. It is based on the work at the rather good Diadumenian Provincial Coinage website which also has some good background too.
Of most use, however, is Henry Basset's Macrinus and Diadumenianus a 1920 Phd for the University of Michigan and the only full length work, as far as I have been able to find, on the emperor.
